"this feature is so easy to use and so impactful"

Lilia Chavez is one of our many amazing aid-workers helping refugees and immigrants who face language barriers daily. Settling in a new country is hard enough; mix in a language barrier and you’ve added an obstacle that makes all aspects of adapting more challenging. Suddenly integration, employment and access to services become doubly difficult. Lilia works on asylum cases in Tijuana. She was in need of an interpreter to help her translate from English to Farsi. She had an Iranian client who was thinking about returning to Germany instead of pursuing his asylum case. She wanted him to make sure he understood all of her advice before making his final decision. Lilia was able to use Tarijimly's Conference Calling feature to connect with a Farsi interpreter and add in her client’s phone number for a successful remote session. With all the necessary information at hand, the client was able to make an informed decision that was right for him.

This isn't the story of one doctor or one refugee. Thousands of vulnerable individuals and families are left without care due to language barriers. When an aid worker's lack of ability to communicate hinders their ability to accommodate and assist refugees, an organization's ability to impact real change is limited. Tarjimly is here to bridge that divide, and to provide on-demand translation services for aid workers, whenever and where ever they may be.
